Derek is a loyal nursing home caretaker who sees only the good in his quirky co-workers as they struggle against prejudice and shrinking budgets to care for their elderly residents.

Derek, in chronological order, records the work and life that stands at the foot of Derek Jarman's humour and spirit of being an artist. The filmmaker and actress, Isaac Julien and Tilda Swinton respectively, have produced and narrated a film on his life whereby the use of language is perpetuated to give some type of palpable meaning to British audiences alone, and to their own personal relationship with him.

Professor of language and philosophy Dominic Matei is struck by lightning and ages backwards from 70 to 40 in a week, attracting the world and the Nazis. While on the run, the professor meets a young woman who has her own experience with a lightning storm. Not only does Dominic find love again, but her new abilities hold the key to his research.

Derek and Casey are back and continue their hilarious sibling rivalry during a family vacation to visit their grandmother at her beautiful lake front lodge. Things heat up with Casey when she meets Jesse, a handsome young dancer who is a waiter at the lodge. Meanwhile as Derek is "chilling" on his vacation, he falls for Roxy, the rich girl who lives across the lake. But when Roxy's father, a greedy land developer, threatens to destroy the natural beauty around them, the McDonald-Venturi kids band together to save the lake and the lodge.

On year 2094, Commander James is on mission above Mars' Surface to scanning it to make a complete map of the planet. One of his two robots, D.O.R. (Discovery Optical Relay), makes a lonely journey to explore a distant mountains when it detects a strange movement of stones from the top. After D.O.R. turns off mysteriously, Commander James and the other rover R.E.X. (Relations Experiment Explorer) goes to the place where D.O.R.'s signal gave its last location. After to finding D.O.R. totally destroyed, Commander James actives his video feed to discover what D.O.R. saw just before to be destroyed, but in this moment and unknown for him, R.E.X. detects movement on a close cavern and it enters to investigate.
